1. Who we are

Heldby is a digital product developed and operated by a Swedish registered business, operating under Swedish and EU law. By creating an account you are entering into an agreement with Heldby on the terms set out below.

2. What Heldby is

Heldby is a private household information dashboard. It is designed to help individuals and families organise and store important information in one secure, accessible place.

Heldby is not a legal document service. It is not a will, an estate planning tool, or a financial advisory service. Nothing you store in Heldby constitutes legal, financial, or medical advice. Heldby is an organisational tool — what you do with the information you store is entirely your responsibility.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Heldby account.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your password with anyone. If you believe your account has been compromised contact us immediately at hello@heldby.app.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

One account covers one household. You may add a partner name during onboarding so the dashboard reflects both of you, but the account itself belongs to the person who registered it.

4. Subscription and payment

Heldby is a paid subscription service. We offer two plans:

• Monthly — $7.99 per month, billed monthly. Cancel anytime.

• Annual — $69 per year, billed annually. Save approximately 28% compared to monthly billing.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Heldby never sees or stores your payment card details.

Prices are in US dollars. Your bank may apply a currency conversion fee — this is outside our control.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period. You will receive a reminder email before any annual renewal. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.

Monthly subscriptions: cancel anytime. You retain access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

Annual subscriptions: you can cancel anytime to prevent renewal. No refunds are issued for the unused portion of an annual subscription. When you purchase an annual plan you are committing to the full year.

5. Free months and referrals

Heldby offers an organic referral programme for existing subscribers:

• —If you refer a new subscriber using your unique referral link, they receive their first month free.
• —You receive one month of free subscription credit for each successful referral, up to a maximum of three referral credits per calendar year.
• —A referral is successful when the person you referred completes signup and remains an active subscriber for 30 days.
• —Referral credits are applied automatically to your next billing cycle.
• —Referral credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or redeemed for money.

Heldby also operates a Verified Partner Programme for businesses and individuals who formally promote Heldby under a separate partner agreement. Contact hello@heldby.app if you are interested.

6. Verified partner programme

Verified partners promote Heldby under a separate written agreement. Key terms include:

• —Partners earn 15% recurring commission on monthly subscriptions they refer, for as long as those subscribers remain active.
• —Partners earn 15% one-off commission on annual subscriptions they refer.
• —Commissions are paid monthly in arrears with a 30-day holding period.
• —No commission is paid for subscribers who cancel within 30 days of signup.
• —Partners may not make misleading claims about Heldby.
• —Heldby reserves the right to terminate a partner agreement at any time if these terms are breached.

7. Your data

Your data belongs to you. We store it securely on your behalf. We do not read it, sell it, or use it for any purpose other than providing the Heldby service.

You can export your data or request deletion of your account at any time. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

8. Trusted person access

The trusted person feature is optional. If you choose to use it:

• —You are responsible for choosing someone you genuinely trust.
• —You are responsible for sharing the security key with your trusted person securely.
• —Heldby is not responsible for any consequences arising from trusted person access made using valid credentials you authorised.
• —You can remove trusted person access at any time from your account settings.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Heldby to store information that is illegal, fraudulent, or intended to harm others. You agree not to attempt to access other users accounts or data. You agree not to reverse engineer or replicate the Heldby platform. Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without refund.

10. Limitation of liability

Heldby is provided as an organisational tool. We implement industry-standard security protections. However no system is completely immune to security incidents.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heldby's liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

Heldby is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Heldby after that date constitutes acceptance. The current version is always at heldby.family/terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Swedish courts. EU consumers also have the right to use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
